Firefox 107 for Android enables Total Cookie Protection and privacy protection by default

In today’s updated version of Firefox, there will no longer be a separate option to enable/disable Total Cookie Protection, which will be integrated into the Enhanced Tracking Protection settings by default.

If you want to enable this feature for protection, you just need to switch from the standard protection mode to custom or strict settings. This feature is designed to stop tracking companies from using cookies to track your browsing preferences.

The official description of how Total Cookie Protection works from Mozilla is as follows

"Firefox users now have access to full cookie protection by default. It is a built-in extension of enhanced tracking protection that works by keeping a separate "cookie jar" for each website you visit.

Firefox is designed to protect you from third parties that track cookies and information about your browsing activity without your knowledge or consent. These companies try to create profiles based on details of your online spending, health and other personal information and sell them without your knowledge.

Comprehensive cookie protection creates a barrier around cookies, limiting them to the site you are on, so third parties cannot use these same tracking beacons to track your behavior across sites. For example, if you visit Facebook, Facebook will not be able to see your activity on Etsy, One Medical, or your cousin's cooking blog."
