Fibocom releases AI Smart Module SCA825-W

Recently, Fibocom launched SCA825-W, a high-calculus AI module based on the Qualcomm QCS8250 chip platform, which will be fully applied to AIoT fields of complex video image analysis such as connected medical, digital signage, smart retail, and video collaboration. The Fibocom AI module enriches the product line of intelligent modules, and the AI performance generates powerful potential to build up a strong presence in digital economy application fields.

In the era of rapid digital penetration into all industries, computing power is becoming an important driving force in the whole production process of enterprises. The application of high computing power devices not only helps enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency but also provides intelligent decision support. As an important carrier of arithmetic power, the AI module has the characteristics of SoC heterogeneous computing and provides high arithmetic power support for intelligent terminal devices.

The AI module SCA825-W is equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship IoT chip QCS8250 platform built for computation-intensive AI applications, which integrates high-performance Kryo 585 CPU architecture, Adreno 650 GPU, independent NPU, Hexagon DSP and Adreno 995 DPU processor, providing up to 15TOPS of computing power across the board. support.

In terms of image processing, thanks to the powerful image signal processor (Spectra™ 480 ISP), the SCA825-W supports triple display, up to seven cameras concurrently, and encoding capability up to 8K at 60 fps, providing excellent HD video encoding performance.

The SCA825-W supports a wide range of wireless connectivity options, supporting 2*2 Wi-Fi MIMO multi-antenna technology, including Wi-Fi 6 for IoT, Bluetooth 5.1 and 5G data transmission. In terms of peripheral devices, the SCA825-W integrates a rich set of peripheral interfaces, including MIPI-DSI, I2S, PCIe, UART, USB, I2C, and SPI, greatly expanding its peripheral connectivity devices and accelerating industrial and commercial IoT scale deployment and commercialization.
