At present, Google Pixel fans are eagerly waiting for Google to showcase the Pixel 7a, the Pixel Fold foldable phone, and the Pixel Tablet at the I/O 2023 developers conference, which will take place on May 10. In October of this year, the company is expected to announce the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. Well ahead of the launch, we bring you an exclusive look at the rear designs of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro through their case images.
The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro case images are in line with the CAD renders that surfaced in March. The Pixel 8’s case image shows that it has a raised camera bar with curved edges. It has an oval opening for a dual-camera system. A microphone and LED flash can also be found on the camera bar. The right edge of the case has cutouts for a power key and volume rocker. Its bottom edge also seems to have a couple of cutouts for a speaker and a USB-C port.
The Pixel 8 Pro’s case shows that it also has a horizontal camera bar with curved edges. There is a single cutout on it, that houses all three cameras. Alongside it is an LED flash with an unknown fourth sensor. Its right edge features buttons for power and volume. The same edge has what appears to be a fourth button, which could be a slit for adding a lanyard thread.
