According to a report by German online media Table Media, Tesla founder Elon Musk will come to Brandenburg on Wednesday to visit Tesla. He will visit the German Gigafactory and will meet with the Governor of the German state of Brandenburg Wojdek and the state’s Economic Minister Steinbach.
Due to power outages, Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory in Germany has been suspended for a week since March 5. The power company responsible for the initial outage said late Monday that the plant had been reconnected to the grid.
Tesla earlier said it would gradually start up systems at the factory after power is restored. It is reported that the factory currently has approximately 12,500 employees.
It is reported that the power outage has prevented Tesla from producing about 1,000 cars per day, and the person in charge of the factory said last week that the loss caused by the power supply interruption will reach hundreds of millions of euros.
According to previous report, on March 5th, a fire broke out in the factory, causing damage to the power facilities. The factory stopped production, and parts of Berlin also suffered a power outage.
The extreme environmental group calling itself the “Volcano Group” admitted the attack in a subsequent statement and cursed Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Elon Musk called the Volcano Group “the stupidest eco-terrorists on the planet, or puppets.” He said it would be foolish in the extreme to stop making electric cars instead of fossil fuel cars.
This is not the first time the Volcano Team has targeted a Tesla factory. They disrupted power supply to the site in May 2021 during the construction phase of the plant. Brandenburg Industry Minister Jörg Steinbach expressed solidarity with Tesla at the time and pledged to prevent further attacks.
