Just Elon Musk tweeted that the re-launch of the “Blue V Certification” service for the Twitter platform has been postponed until November 29, “to ensure it is rock solid”.
Elon Musk took over Twitter and officially launched a new subscription service on Nov. 5, charging $8 a month to provide users with a “Blue V certification” mark. But the paid service was called off on the 11th because of imposters creating confusion on the platform.
This major reversal reflects the current chaos at Twitter. Since Elon Musk completed the $44 billion acquisition deal, Twitter has been in turmoil for two weeks. Elon Musk has fired nearly half of Twitter’s employees, replaced its board of directors and executives and raised the possibility that Twitter could go bankrupt. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission said Thursday it is “deeply concerned” about Twitter.
