Elon Musk speech suggests Twitter will support long videos, not optimistic about flying cars

Tesla CEO Elon Musk reportedly said today that it is a natural choice for Twitter to support “long videos” in the future and that Tesla will launch cheaper electric cars.

Today, Elo Musk delivered a speech at the G20 summit in a remote online manner. He said: “Twitter will definitely do more work on video. Support longer videos and allow content creators on the platform to make a living from content, It was a natural choice.”

In fact, Elon Musk said last week in response to questions from Twitter employees that he was considering introducing a video monetization mechanism and possibly allowing users to post longer videos. To this end, Elon Musk wants employees to lobby YouTube video creators to attract them to the Twitter platform with higher income.

In today’s speech, Elon Musk also touched on the problem of traffic congestion, saying that the “real solution” is the tunnel. His tunnel-digging company, The Boring Company, is building such a tunnel in Las Vegas, he said.

But Elon Musk seems less optimistic about flying cars, arguing that they will generate a lot of noise and wind. He added: “There’s also the possibility that one of the flying cars could fall on your head. Or, if the flying cars keep flying over your house, it’s definitely not good for privacy.”

He also added that it would make more sense to make cars more affordable, something Tesla “should do” to promote the adoption and spread of electric vehicles in developing countries. But he didn’t mention any product development, launch plans or price levels.

In September, Tesla’s head of investor relations, Martin Viecha, hinted that Tesla would launch a cheaper electric car before launching a robotaxi service. Elon Musk had planned to bring robo-taxi to the market by 2024, but the plan has been delayed several times.

In a question-and-answer session following the presentation, Elon Musk admitted that his current job is indeed overkill. He said: “That’s for sure, I have so much work to do. I’m working as hard as I can, seven days a week, morning to night. I’ve just tortured myself to a new level.”

Currently, Elon Musk is the CEO of five companies, Tesla, Twitter, SpaceX, The Boring Company and Neuralink. To this end, some analysts said that Elon Musk has been severely overloaded, and it is difficult to take into account all the above-mentioned companies.
