Elon Musk responds to rumors of X (Twitter) quitting Europe: It’s completely false news

Not long ago the foreign media Business Insider reported that Elon Musk considered the X (formerly Twitter) platform from the European withdrawal of the news, and then by the X platform account X News Daily quoted and said, “due to the media reports record inconsistency, especially around the Elon Musk’s company related reports, so need to be be taken with a grain of salt.”

As it turns out, Elon Musk himself gave an official response to the above rumors yesterday afternoon:

Business Insider has created another completely false report, they are not a real publishing organization.

A synopsis of the previous story:

In an earlier report, Business Insider reported that Elon Musk was reportedly considering “simply canceling” the availability of Platform X in Europe, or blocking access to it for local users, as he grew increasingly frustrated with the fact that his Platform X (formerly Twitter) had to comply with the European Union’s Digital Services Act.

European regulators issued a “stern warning” to Elon Musk earlier this month that illegal content and disinformation had begun to spread on the X platform during the Israel-Hamas conflict. Elon Musk faces a fine of up to 6 percent of the company’s annual revenue if it does not comply with European regulations on illegal content.

This is not the first time Elon Musk has taken aim at media coverage. On the 18th of last month, Elon Musk said in a post on the X platform that the Wall Street Journal’s report that Tesla was considering building a factory in Saudi Arabia was “yet another completely false article”. The WSJ had claimed earlier in the day that Tesla was in talks with Saudi Arabia about building a production facility there.
