Elon Musk tweeted a photo of his engineers at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters after asking some employees who didn’t quit to meet with him. He said they were preparing to leave the company.

Elon Musk’s tweet was posted at approximately 1:30 a.m. PST Saturday. “Just getting ready to leave Twitter HQ to wrap up code review.” he wrote in the tweet.
Before that, a user tweeted a photo of overtime, saying “Twitter at 1 am is more alive than it ever was during the day”. Elon Musk responded, “This is by far the most people I’ve ever seen in an office building.

About 24 hours earlier, Elon Musk sent out a series of emails asking to meet with “all the people who are actually writing the software” on Friday afternoon. He told employees to meet on the 10th floor of his office building. He has been working there since he took over Twitter on Oct. 27. A large number of employees chose to leave because Elon Musk asked them to opt-in to an intense, “hardcore” work culture.
