Elon Musk again says track mode for Model Y Performance is coming

The Tesla Model Y Performance is a great crossover for towing a family, but also a very good performance car, especially with the subsequent availability of a track mode, which will make the driving experience even more fun.

Although Elon Musk confirmed back in 2020 that he would offer a track mode for the Model Y Performance, that mode has not been available until today. As a result, Elon Musk is often asked by users on Twitter when the mode will be available.

Yesterday Elon Musk was asked again when the track mode for the Model Y Performance would be available, and similar to his past responses, Elon Musk wrote, “It’s coming.

Elon Musk mentioned last month that introducing a track mode for the Model Y Performance is “harder than it sounds,” but Tesla will still offer the feature. If Tesla eventually introduces a track mode for the Model Y Performance, it would mean it could introduce it for the first time on its larger vehicles, and the Model X Plaid doesn’t have a track mode either, despite its more powerful capabilities.

Both the Tesla Model 3 Performance and Model S Plaid already have track mode, and according to officials, with Track Mode V2, the driver of the Model 3 Performance Performance can customize the vehicle’s handling settings to better control the vehicle’s performance on the track. The driver can adjust the vehicle’s parameters, including motor balance, stability assist and energy recovery braking.
