It is reported that Dongfeng Co., Ltd. recently released the “DNA+” plan. Based on the vehicle research and development capabilities of the joint venture for 20 years, Dongfeng Co., Ltd. will launch 10 locally developed new energy models into the Chinese market in the next three years. These include 4 independently designed Nissan models. The first independently developed Nissan brand new energy vehicle will be put on the market in the second half of 2024. At the same time, 6 Venucia models will be launched.
As for the Nissan brand, a number of new energy products are being developed in parallel. The first one we will see is the pure electric sedan launched in Q4 next year (expected to be October); plug-in hybrid models will also be launched in early 2025. Around the end of 2025, two more models will be launched. Overall, they will cover two SUVs and two sedans, with hybrid and pure electric options available.
In terms of Venucia, with the new positioning of the brand, Venucia will play the role of pioneer in exploring new energy. While continuing to explore the two mature tracks of PHEV plug-in hybrid and BEV pure electric, it will vigorously develop FCV hydrogen energy. technology, six new cars will be launched in the next three years to meet diverse needs.
By 2026, Venucia brand service centers will grow to 450, and order centers will reach 1,250, covering 315 prefecture-level cities across the country, with an urban coverage rate of more than 90%.
In addition, as a pioneer in innovative electric drive technology, the Nissan brand will accelerate the research and development of all-solid-state battery technology, launch a pilot factory in 2024, and launch mass production in 2028. In the future, Dongfeng Nissan will also start exports from 2025, with an initial target of 100,000 vehicles per year.
