In terms of industrial layout, on February 2 this year, a new energy passenger car project with a total investment of RMB 5.31 billion was settled in Xiangyang, which will be followed by the full lifecycle models of its self-developed S3 platform, and on February 13, another new energy passenger car project was officially settled in Shiyan Economic Development Zone.
The S3 platform is Dongfeng’s new self-developed new energy architecture platform, focusing on the electric car small car market, which Dongfeng Motor says has the leading advantages of high-cost performance, high range flexibility and high expandability of electronic architecture.
