Dongfeng Honda: A new self-owned brand will be launched in 2023

At the recently opened 20th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, Dongfeng Honda’s new electric concept car e:N SUV Concept and the first domestically introduced CIVIC TYPE R, as well as the eleventh generation Civic e:HEV, all-new CR-V, all-new XR-V and other models are on the scene.

At the same time, the eleventh-generation Civic HATCHBACK is also officially launched in Guangzhou, priced at 145,900 to 179,900 yuan. The eleventh-generation Civic HATCHBACK fuel version comes standard with a 240TURBO in-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 134kW and a maximum torque of 240N·m, paired with the new “G-Design Shift” CVT gearbox. At the same time, the 11th generation Civic HATCHBACK retains the 6MT manual version.

The eleventh-generation Civic HATCHBACK e:HEV is equipped with Honda’s fourth-generation i-MMD dual-motor hybrid power system, and the fuel consumption can be as low as 4.61L / 100km under WLTC comprehensive working conditions.

In addition to the launch of the eleventh-generation Civic HATCHBACK, Dongfeng Honda’s new electric concept car e:N SUV Concept and high-performance model CIVIC TYPE R, as well as Dongfeng Honda’s entire product matrix were all unveiled at the auto show, covering all categories of SUVs, sedans, and MPVs. Including hybrid, plug-in hybrid and pure electric three power forms.

According to reports, in the past year, Dongfeng Honda introduced the fourth-generation i-MMD hybrid system and Honda SENSING 360 safety super-sensing system two major technologies, and also launched e:NS1, a new generation of CR-V, the Seven new models including the 11th-generation Civic e:HEV and the new XR-V, among which the sales volume of CR-V in 2022 will exceed 210,000, the sales of Civic will exceed 140,000, and the sales of XR-V will exceed 100,000.

At the brand level, Dongfeng Honda stated that it will continue to promote the strategic layout of electrification brands around the electrification brand “e:N” and e:HEV / e:PHEV strong electric smart hybrid, and its new self-owned brand will also be released in 2023; product Dongfeng Honda will continue to launch the e:NS series and PHEV products, and the proportion of electrified products will reach 50% in 2025.
