In addition, the company also gave a product plan. By the end of 2025, Dongfeng Fengxing will launch 3 major types of 10 new energy products, covering cars, SUVs and MPVs. And by 2024, new pure electric cars, plug-in hybrid models and new pure electric SUVs will be launched, and subsequent new products will use plug-in hybrids and pure electric vehicles to achieve comprehensive new energy.
The brand’s current only Lingzhi M5EV, Fengxing S50EV and Fengxing S60EV models have a very low market presence, and sales are quite bleak.
According to data from the Passenger Federation, in the first 10 months of this year, Dongfeng Liuqi’s original fuel passenger car business has experienced a sharp decline, and with the addition of new energy vehicles, it has achieved a total sales of 102,900 vehicles.
According to the “Photosynthetic Future” strategy, Dongfeng Fengxing will build its own technology and supply chain competitiveness around five aspects and has launched new energy-exclusive EMA-E architecture, armor battery and other technologies.
It is worth mentioning that Dongfeng Fengxing also stated that it will continue to increase R&D investment and talent reserves. According to reports, the company has invested a total of more than 5 billion yuan in the past three years and will continue to invest 20 billion yuan in building new energy core competitiveness by 2030.
