At present, the folding screen phone folds in a horizontal way. In addition to Samsung, Vivo, Xiaomi and Glory have launched horizontal folding screen phones in the second half of 2022. Vertical folding screen phones are characterized by portability, and only Samsung, Motorola and Huawei will launch new models in 2022.
Taiwan media pointed out that Samsung launched the first horizontal folding screen phone in 2019, and then launched a vertical folding screen phone in 2020, the overall folding screen phone market continues to grow. Manufacturers in mainland China have also joined the market, Moto Razr 2022, Vivo X Fold +, and Honor Magic Vs listed in 2022, respectively, in the panel refresh rate, rear lens and battery capacity have outstanding performance. It is expected that after the launch of Apple’s first folding screen phone in the future, market growth and vendor competition will be more intense.
