DICE announced that Battlefield 2042 will join EA Access and Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service in December for the third season.

In addition, EA also plans to provide a free trial period for other platforms in December so that PlayStation players can experience the game for free for a limited time.

Battlefield 2042 Season 3 also continues the trend of map redesigns, with major adjustments to Manifest and Breakaway.

According to the latest news from the official Battlefield 2042 website, DICE will be releasing one map per season for the game, with only nine maps released so far, which is hard not to disappoint fans compared to past games in the series, but at least the game has started to be updated steadily.

DICE hopes that these updates and new features will allow players to re-experience a game that has been greatly improved from its debut.

It’s interesting to note that a lot of older players have returned to the game in the past two weeks, only unlike what DICE was expecting, they prefer Battlefield. From Steam data, Battlefield has more than ten times the number of people online as Battlefield 2042.
