According to the introduction, “Linglong” is the open source package format developed by Unisys, which is used to realize the functions of application package management, distribution, sandboxing and integrated development tools together with package management system such as dpkg rpm, with the goal of solving the long-standing dependency problem and security problem of Linux.
The name “Linglong” is taken from the Eight Treasure Linglong Tower, which claims to integrate the ideas of “isolation” and “layering” and has six features.
