Apple announced in January that its weather app Dark Sky had ceased operations, but it was briefly revived last weekend due to a server error on Apple’s client.
Many Dark Sky fans have taken to Twitter, Reddit and other social media platforms to share the app’s resurrected screen interface.
The app displays hourly and weekly forecast information, real-time precipitation data and notifications. The only aspect of the app that is not back online is the radar feature.
A follow-up report that Apple made adjustments this Monday morning, shutting down the app’s services again.
Apple acquired the Dark Sky weather app in March 2020 and has since incorporated many of the app’s features into the pre-installed Weather App on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
