Brought by CDPR “Cyberpunk 2077” DLC “Shadows of the Past” global media scores have been unblocked, IGN gave a rating of 9 points, while GameSpot gave a rating of 10 points, that “the game with the 2.0 update and the DLC content, reinterpretation of the game’s story”. IGN gave the game a 9 out of 10 on GameSpot, saying that “with the 2.0 update and the DLC content, the game has reinterpreted the story and made the game ‘the way it was once expected to be the game’s DLCs had scores of 89 on the M website, but the game itself still didn’t have any scores.

Shadows of the Past has a firmer grasp on what kind of story the City of Night can tell, and while last year's Cyberpunk: Fringe Walker indicated that CDPR already had a blueprint in mind for the future of Cyberpunk 2077, Shadows of the Past is even more indicative of that.
It's a more complex story and a better show, with deep insights into cyberpunk and anti-utopian themes, simulating the despair of the world and the dehumanizing effects of technology on our souls.
The new 2.0 update improves the experience considerably, and it's safe to say that with the Shadows of the Past DLC, Cyberpunk 2077 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the game, and it's finally becoming what I expected it to be when I first encountered it three years ago.

Nocturne's appeal lies in its impressive scope and eye-popping visuals, which depict a bleak neon future developed and unfettered by technology.
Shadows of the Past showcases the full potential of Cyberpunk 2077, telling a brand new story of misplaced loyalties, reckoning with your past and its consequences, and navigating a technologically driven anti-utopia.
There are also marvelous, distinct routes and endings to this compelling main storyline, with excellent performances that allow new and old characters to be at the center of it, and a new ending for the foundation that reinterprets the original story.
Phantom Freedom makes full use of Dogtown, deftly embedding much of the main story and side quests in its streets, with a compelling variety of decisions and a wealth of detail bringing a gritty and complex character to Dogtown, and no matter what style is used, the overhauled RPG elements result in exciting battle scenes, with explosive scenarios at their best.
'Shadows of the Past' achieved the pinnacle of Cyberpunk 2077, and CDPR have learned their lessons to recreate a cyberpunk journey, and the game is well suited to placing your decisions in context to alleviate the feeling of pointlessness. There are some inconsistencies in the dialog options, though, with certain characters elaborating on 'specific content' that clashes a bit with the tone they're conveying.
