Corel will increase the price of Parallels Desktop 18 on Oct. 6

Corel has announced an increase in the price of Parallels Desktop 18 for Mac, but it’s only a price increase and doesn’t introduce any new features. According to an email obtained by foreign technology media AppleInsider, the price of all versions of Parallels will be increased on October 6 of this year.

Currently, a Parallels Home 1-year subscription costs $79.99 (with a free upgrade to the new version and remote access to a Mac from any iOS/Android device or browser), and a perpetual license costs $99.99. With the price increase, however, a Parallels Standard subscription costs $99.99 annually and a perpetual license costs $129.99.

In addition, Parallels Pro Edition costs $119.99 per year and Business costs $149.99 per year. Both editions are available as annual subscriptions only, but can be upgraded to new versions for free during the annual term.

The integration with Apple Silicon enhances the experience of running the operating system on macOS, especially in terms of speed. Corel says Parallels Desktop brings more than 200,000 Windows applications to the Mac, and Parallels Desktop 18 supports Apple technologies available to videographers, gamers and IT professionals.
