CINNO said that going into 2023, the impact of the epidemic is expected to continue to dampen consumer demand in the short term, with the impact continuing through the first half of 2023, and the situation may gradually improve in the second half of 2023.
The report pointed out that in the past year, Apple still performed strongly, since the fourth quarter of last year back to the domestic first after the high-end market continued to force, standing firm in the position of the domestic market first; OV market performance is weak, market share fell sharply, from the annual sales of the first and second position down to the third and fourth; while the glory market performance is stable, jumping to the second domestic, continue to seize the OV The market performance of Glory is stable, jumping to the second place in China and continuing to capture OV’s low-end market share, with sales and market share rising the most among Top6 brands.
In terms of 5G cell phones, 5G smartphone sales in the Chinese market accounted for 84% in 2022, exceeding 80%, up 6 percentage points year-on-year. 85% of new smartphones listed in 2022 will be 5G smartphones, comparable to last year. The 5G smartphone penetration rate in the Chinese market is expected to be 96% in 2024.
