Officially, South of the Circle is a stirring narrative game that explores the emotional relationship between two Cambridge academics, Phi Beta and Clara, who are caught in the political conflict of the Cold War. The main storyline in South of the Polar Circle will weave back and forth between the past and the present, constantly throwing up thought-provoking questions about the consequences of life choices and the choice between true love and career. Players will take on the role of Phi Delta, a Cambridge scholar who suffers a plane crash in Cold War-era Antarctica. On the road to help, he will recall his past and consider how the pressures of power and personal ambition have led him step by step into this dilemma from which he must escape. As love grows between Phi Delta and his colleague Clara, he gradually realizes the weight of the promise he made.
