To cell phones, for example, the global decline in cell phone sales in 2022, resulting in a greater supply of electronic class chips for cell phones than demand, major cell phone manufacturers have lowered their shipment targets and cut orders to upstream chip manufacturers.
Reports said that Qualcomm is experiencing “cut single action”, has reduced the Snapdragon 8 series orders by about 15%, and will be the end of the two flagship mobile chip price cuts of about 40%. Samsung Electronics, on the other hand, said that cell phone memory chip inventory is high, future sales may be further weakened, the company is working to remove inventory.
