According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website, the first half of China’s software and information technology services (hereinafter referred to as the software industry) continued to run well, software business income to maintain double-digit growth, total profits increased significantly, the growth of software business exports to accelerate.

Software business revenue to maintain double-digit growth. The first half of the year, China’s software business revenue of 4,626.6 billion yuan, an increase of 10.9%, the growth rate of 0.3 percentage points higher than in January-May.
Total profits further resumed growth. In the first half of the year, the total profit of the software industry 489.1 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3%, the growth rate of 5.4 percentage points higher than in January-May.
Software business export growth rate rebounded slightly. In the first half of the year, software business exports of $ 25.6 billion, up 4.0% year-on-year, the growth rate of 1.3 percentage points higher than in January-May. Among them, software outsourcing services exports grew 9.3% year-on-year.
Software product revenue growth accelerated. The first half of the year, software product revenue of 1142.7 billion yuan, up 10.2% year-on-year, the growth rate of 0.9 percentage points higher than in January-May, accounting for 24.7% of the total industry revenue. Among them, industrial software products revenue of 105.3 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3%.
Information technology services revenue grew steadily. In the first half of the year, information technology services revenue of 302.96 billion yuan, up 12.0% year-on-year, the growth rate fell 0.1 percentage points from January to May, accounting for 65.5% of the industry’s revenue. Among them, cloud computing, big data services to achieve a total revenue of 479 billion yuan, up 9.3% year-on-year, accounting for 15.8% of information technology services revenue; integrated circuit design revenue of 127.9 billion yuan, up 15.2%; e-commerce platform technology services revenue of 449.9 billion yuan, up 16.9% year-on-year.
The growth rate of information security revenue has increased steadily. In the first half of the year, information security revenue of 75.5 billion yuan, an increase of 11.4%, the growth rate of 0.3 percentage points higher than in January-May.
Embedded system software revenue growth rate rose slightly. In the first half of the year, embedded systems software revenue of 378.8 billion yuan, an increase of 5.0%, the growth rate of 1.2 percentage points higher than in January-May.
Major software provinces stable and positive development. In the first half of the year, the software business revenue in the top 5 provinces, Beijing, Guangdong Province, Jiangsu Province, Shandong Province, Zhejiang Province, software business revenue of 984 billion yuan, 832.9 billion yuan, 610.2 billion yuan, 414.4 billion yuan and 373.7 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 11.2%, 8.2%, 10.2%, 17.8% and 5.1%, five provinces (cities) combined software business revenue 3,215.2 billion yuan, accounting for 69.5% of the national proportion, accounting for 0.4 percentage points less than the same period last year.
Central city software business income grew steadily, the total profit growth rate from negative to positive. The first half of the year, the country’s 15 sub-provincial cities to achieve software business revenue of 237.6 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3%, the growth rate of 0.1 percentage points higher than in January-May, accounting for 51.4% of the national software business revenue. Total profits of 279.1 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6%, the growth rate from negative to positive (down 3.1% year-on-year in January-May). Among them, Ningbo, Jinan, Xiamen, Qingdao, Dalian, Xi’an, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Wuhan software business revenue growth rate exceeded the overall growth rate of the industry.
