Chevrolet’s official public account this morning disclosed more information on the power and energy consumption of its new plug-in hybrid car, the Equinox Plus.
According to reports, the new car is equipped with GM’s new generation PHEV smart plug-in hybrid system, which can accelerate from 0-60km/h in 3.7 seconds. The comprehensive fuel consumption under CLTC operating conditions can reach a minimum of 1.05 liters, and the comprehensive battery life exceeds 1,000km.
According to the official previous plan, the new car will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show this month. It adopts a new generation design language, continues the appearance of an American SUV, is equipped with muscular lines, and incorporates Chevrolet’s deconstructed design for the first time. It is available in two design styles: RS and ACTIV, which correspond to daily highway driving and off-road scenarios respectively.
According to previous reports, information from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that the car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system composed of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The engine has a maximum power of 127kW and the electric motor has a maximum power of 140kW. The vehicle’s length, width and height are 4653/1902/1667mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2730mm. It is positioned as a compact SUV and is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries produced by Qinghai Fudi Battery Co., Ltd.
On the interior, the car is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, an 11-inch digital instrument panel and an 11.3-inch central control screen, and has a safety assistance package.
