Chery Holdings Group data show that in July, Chery Group sold 131,533 vehicles, up 57.7% year-on-year. Among them, exports reached 50,614 units, up 90.1% year-on-year; new energy sales 25,617 units, up 253% year-on-year.
From January to July, Chery Group sold a total of 606,783 vehicles, up 19.3% year-on-year. Among them, 198,859 units were exported and 137,895 units were sold under new energy.
In terms of new energy vehicles, Chery Group sold 137,895 new energy vehicles from January to July, an increase of 189% year-on-year. From January to July, the Group sold 131,428 new energy passenger vehicles, representing a year-on-year growth rate of 230.2%.
Specifically, Chery Automobile sold 102,441 units in July, an increase of 84.4% year-on-year, and 459,870 units from January to July, an increase of 35.5% year-on-year. Sales of the Ruihu 8 exceeded 20,000 units in July, with 21,080 units sold, an increase of 35% year-on-year, and contributed 99,346 units of global sales from January to July, an increase of 15% year-on-year. The first model of Chery’s new product line, OMODA, was also officially launched on July 12.
Startups sold 3,542 units in July, up 9.9 percent year-on-year; cumulative sales from January to July were 23,029 units, up 40.9 percent year-on-year; and the average selling price of a single vehicle was over 150,000 yuan. Following the launch of new models in the first half of the year, such as the StarTour ET-i, StarTour Linyun S and StarTour Moon 5-seat Explorer Edition, the first body-in-white of the new flagship SUV StarTour M38T was launched in July.
JETRO sold 16,690 units in July, an increase of 6% year-on-year; cumulative sales from January to July reached 77,737 units and 550,000 customers worldwide. In the third quarter of this year, the JETRO Grand Sage, which is based on the Kunlun architecture, will also be launched globally. Since its pre-sale on May 8, more than 30,000 units have been pre-ordered.
