CATL announced the launch of a new product called “Shenxing Supercharged Battery” this afternoon, claiming to be the world’s first lithium iron phosphate 4C battery.
According to reports, the supercharged battery supports charging for 10 minutes, with a battery life of 400 kilometres. It can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes even in a low-temperature environment of -10°C.
According to reports, the battery is equipped with ultra-electronic grid positive electrode technology, graphite fast ion ring negative electrode technology, ultra-thin SEI film, ultra-high conductivity electrolyte formula, and high-porosity separator, with a total battery life of up to 700 kilometres.
CATL press conference that Shenxing supercharged batteries will be mass-produced at the end of 2023 and launched in the first quarter of 2024. At that time, cars equipped with Shenxing supercharged batteries will be available.
