CATL’s official Weibo announced that its “Kirin Battery” can help Li Auto’s first pure electric model, Li MEGA, achieve a “charging range of 500 kilometers in 12 minutes.”
Ningde Times also said that the battery equipped with Li MEGA can achieve a peak 5C battery charging rate, which can systematically increase the microscopic transmission rate of lithium ions and broaden the overcurrent capability boundary of the battery. At the same time, it also supports functions such as optimizing the internal resistance of the battery cell to reduce heat generation and simultaneously improving the cooling capacity of the battery system.
Li Auto has previously claimed that charging 500 kilometers in 12 minutes is the goal of high-voltage pure electricity, and its own 5C super charging network is stepping up construction.
Li Auto announced last night that 13 new supercharging stations have been added, and supercharging stations in Chongqing Jianlong, Nanjing Qixiashan Bridge, Handan Daming, Xingtai Ningjin, Xingtai Qinghe, Baoding Tangxian, and Tangshan Luanzhou service areas have been put into operation. Li Auto currently operates 50 5C super charging stations across the country.
Li Auto previously planned to build 3,000 Li Auto supercharging stations by 2025, and realized that the Li Auto high-speed supercharging network will be fully deployed and prepared before the delivery of pure electric models begins.
