CATL announced that the Era Geely power battery Yibin project a full-scale production ceremony was successfully held.
Geely is a power battery manufacturing and service platform jointly created by Ningde Time and Jikrypton Motors. The construction of the Yibin Power Battery Project officially started in October 2020, with a planned annual capacity of 15GWh, a total investment of no more than RMB 8 billion, and a planned area of about 500 mu, which took 14 months and is now in full production. After completion, it will drive the employment of about 2500 people.
In the future, Ningde Times and Krypton will give full play to their strengths in various fields, show their respective strengths in technology and combine their swords in manufacturing to promote the green, clean and intelligent transformation of regional energy.
Geely (Sichuan) Power Battery Co., Ltd. settled in Yibin and built a modern enterprise integrating sales, technology research and development, and intelligent manufacturing. According to Sichuan, this year Yibin is clearly the first batch of manufacturing city pilot city, by 2030, for every 7 new energy vehicles in the world, there will be 1 equipped with a “Yibin-made” power battery.
