CATL announced through its official Weibo today that it will hold a new product launch event on August 16th.
Although the official preheating poster did not mention specific products or technologies released, in the accompanying text on Weibo, CATL shouted the slogan “‘fast’ into the new world”, claiming that this time will be “far-reaching”.
From this point of view, the word “fast” is quite interesting. According to @旅行局, @德光爱车车, and other auto bloggers speculate, the new products released this time are expected to include 4C fast charging, Kirin batteries, M3P batteries or products and technologies related to condensed matter batteries.
It is worth mentioning that CATL had launched the condensed matter battery at the Shanghai Auto Show, with an energy density of up to 500Wh/kg.
It was previously reported that, according to Korean media BusinessKorea, CATL, China’s largest battery manufacturer, is ushering in explosive growth, and its revenue in the first half of the year is close to that of the entire Korean battery industry. In the first half of the year, CATL operating income was 189.25 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 67.52%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 20.717 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 153.64%. Basic earnings per share were 4.7201 CNY per share.
