Google had recently rolled out the Android 13 update for the selected Pixel smartphones. Many OEMs like OnePlus and OPPO have started beta testing their custom skins based on Android 13. We will soon get to see the Android 13 update in the bunch of devices. Now, the founder of Nothing, Carl Pei has said something related to the Android 13 OTA for Nothing Phone (1).
What Carl Pei said regarding Android 13 on Nothing Phone (1)
A journalist asked a question to Carl Pei on Twitter, “Hey Carl, have you made an official post on Android 13? Any idea when it’s coming?”. In reply to the question, the founder replied “A product is more than just its specs, features, and version numbers.” Well, he is surely true. But we all know how many software bugs are present on the Nothing Phone (1) and many users have already reported that on their social media handles.
Customers of Nothing Phone (1) find the response to be less than reassuring, particularly in light of the growing number of complaints about the phone’s software. During the launch, the brand teased the software for its unique and clean experience, surely it offered clean experience. But the overall experience wasn’t very best, as per the reports collected by the users. There were some bugs here and there.

Software is one of the most important parts of a smartphone and there is no use of powerful hardware if the software isn’t properly optimized. The Nothing promises 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates to the Phone (1). We aren’t sure what Carl has to say with his reply, but the Android 13 update for the product is expected to release very soon. The brand is already going well in fixing the bugs and providing updates on time.
