Canon today released the constant F2.8 aperture L-class flagship RF100-300mm F2.8 L IS USM telephoto zoom lens for shooting scenes such as sports, business portraits, and news reports.
According to reports, the lens adopts an optical structure of 18 groups of 23 elements and a 112mm filter interface. The lens uses a fluorite lens, four UD lenses and a glass molded aspheric lens, and adopts Canon’s coating technology ASC (air Spherical coating), the closest focusing distance is about 1.8m, with 3 anti-shake modes, 5.5-level lens anti-shake, and cooperative anti-shake up to 6 levels.
In addition, the Canon RF100-300mm F2.8 L IS USM adopts an electronic floating focus control design, supports breathing effect correction, and is waterproof and dustproof. When used with the Rf 2X teleconverter, the focal length can reach 600mm, the lens has a maximum aperture of F5.6 at all focal lengths, weighs about 2590 grams, and has a length of 323.4 mm.
The price of the Canon RF100-300mm F2.8 L IS USM telephoto zoom lens is revealed to be US$9,499 (the current price is about 65,448 CNY).
