Canon recently launched a new mid-range machine, entry-level, so it is the turn of the flagship and high-end series models next.
According to CanonRumors, the fourth quarter of this year will be an extremely active time period for many companies, and Panasonic, Sony, and Nikon are expected to release some important camera products.
YouTube @Ordinary Filmmaker said that Canon has given a small part of the EOS R5 Mark II to some photographers and content creators for testing, and is expected to officially release the EOS R5 II in the fourth quarter of 2023, a few months earlier than the EOS R1.
Sources also mentioned that Canon may release two replacements for the EOS R5. One is the EOS R5 Mark II, and the other is a high-pixel version of the EOS R5, but the high-pixel version does not have the same video capabilities as the EOS R5 Mark II.
Canon Ishii Toshiyuki revealed some time ago that Canon is currently developing the EOS R1 camera, and will continue to implement the “SLR and micro-single dual-handed” route. As for the recently hotly discussed issue of opening the RF bayonet, Toshiyuki Ishii said that Canon will do its best to build a complete and well-built system, so there is currently no plan to open the RF bayonet.
