Canalys: Samsung tops global smartphone market shipments at 58.6 million units in Q3

According to the official Canalys public account, in the third quarter of 2023, the decline of the global smartphone market narrowed to 1%. As manufacturers improved their inventory conditions in the second quarter and launched new products in the third quarter, Therefore, shipments reached 294.6 million units.

It is found that Samsung shipped 58.6 million units in the global smartphone market in the third quarter, ranking first with a market share of 20%. This is because “Samsung accelerated the iteration of new folding screen products, thus consolidating its market position.” .

Apple ranks second. Canalys said that driven by demand for new iPhone 15 products, Apple’s iPhone shipments reached 50 million units, with a market share of 17%.

Xiaomi ranked third, shipping 41.5 million units and achieving 2% year-on-year growth.

OPPO (including OnePlus) ranked fourth, with shipments of 26.4 million units and a market share of 9%.

Transsion (which includes Tecno, Infinix and iTel) continued its strong momentum from the previous quarter and successfully defended its fifth position with 26 million units shipped.
