Cameyo launches VAD service for ChromeOS

Software virtualization company Cameyo announced that by integrating its VAD service into the ChromeOS system, it will allow users to run Windows applications more easily on Chromebooks.

Cameyo said that after ChromeOS integrates VAD services, it can run Windows, Linux, SaaS, and web applications on the web without creating a complete virtual desktop.

Essentially, ChromeOS will run PWA applications, reducing the cost of users paying for virtual desktops, allowing businesses and organizations to more easily access third-party applications on ChromeOS at a lower cost.

Naveen Viswanatha, Product Director of ChromeOS Solutions at Google, said as follows:

Many businesses and organizations have previously relied on virtual desktop solutions such as VDI and DaaS to provide related software services to end users, but full virtual desktops also lead to higher cost expenditures.

In today's cloud-first world, users just need simple and secure access to their applications in a seamless manner to optimize their productivity.
