Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will be released on November 16

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will release on November 16, two weeks after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s October 28 release. Both games are made on the same engine, a first for the Call of Duty franchise, and should ensure an equal and more consistent feature set – all of which feels like a new dawn for the franchise.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 introduces a new desert map, Al Mazrah, plus some new innovations:

For example, some ending scenes will have multiple circles

There are new AI factions

Loot stash stronghold patrolled by NPCs

Tuned Gulag system

There’s also a new sandbox mode DMZ that sounds like a Warzone version of Escape from Tarkov

Like other popular battle royale games, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will feature a third-person perspective, a first for Warzone 2.0, which may cause some controversy. The third-person perspective will also support “Call of Duty 19: Modern Warfare 2”, after the original “Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2” in 2009 also supported third-person.

“Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile” is jointly developed by multiple studios including Beenox and Digital Legends, and is expected to be released in 2023 for iOS and Android.
