Cadillac’s second SUV “OPTIQ” based on the IQ Autoneng luxury pure electric platform made its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show. At the same time, it officially announced the launch of a Chinese name collection campaign for this new car from netizens.
Cadillac officially announced that the Chinese name of OPTIQ has been officially determined as “IQ Ao Ge”, which is more aura than the first model “IQ Rui Ge”.
The appearance of the new car adopts Cadillac’s latest design language, equipped with a whisker-shaped closed grille. The design language of the entire vehicle follows Cadillac’s angular style, but it also has rounded lines.
It was previously reported that this model has completed the application to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in July this year. The data shows that the size of the car is 4822/1912/1642 (or 1644) mm, the wheelbase is 2954mm, and it is positioned as a medium-sized SUV.
In terms of power, the car is developed based on the GM Autoneng platform and is equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 150kW or 180kW and a power battery provided by SAIC Era. It is expected to launch a dual-motor four-wheel drive model in the future.
In addition, Cadillac also announced during the previous Guangzhou Auto Show that three pure electric products will be launched next year. Judging from the official preview images, they are still expected to be SUV models.
