Earlier today, Cadillac announced more details like the pricing and range for its upcoming electric SUV, named Lyriq. The RWD model of the car will have an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles on a full charge, and the price will start a bit higher than expected, at $62,990. Cadillac is also ready to take orders ahead of time, on May 19.

Cadillac started the production of this car back in March. As the time of delivery gets closer, the company decided to reveal a few more details about the car, like the range and the price, along with a few detailed images.

The Cadillac Lyriq will have an AWD model and it will start at $64,990. This version also adds a second drive unit in the front. Both versions of the electric SUV will have the same 100 kWh battery capacity. There is a lower version that comes with only 340 hp but the all-wheel-drive version bumps it up to 500 hp.

The New Cadillac Lyriq

Lyriq is being made available for order starting this week ahead of time as Cadillac has decided to open reservations for the AWD models on May 19th. The single motor RWD version of the electric SUV will start delivered this summer. There is also the Lyriq Debut Edition which is available only through reservation but it won’t be available this summer.

The customers will be able to get it in multiple colors. Lyriq will be available in Opulent Blue Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Satin Steel Metallic, and Stellar Black Metallic.  The car also supports up to 19.2 kW of AC charging and 190 kW of DC charging.

Lastly, Cadillac announced that the company will offer two deals to its Lyriq buyers. A potential customer will either get two years of unlimited public charging credits at EVgo stations or a credit of $1,500 for a home charger installation via Qmerit.
