BYD’s EV U8 energy consumption: 100Km of fuel consumption of about 10.8 liters

A few days ago, the microblogging car blogger @painful Shu Chang released a look at the U8 energy consumption of the actual picture.

The main body of the picture is the LCD meter of the U8, which shows the specific energy consumption of the car. From the dashboard, we can see that the new car’s “average energy consumption in the last 50 kilometers” is 29.7 kilowatt-hours of electricity and 2.3 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, which translates to 10.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.

As a large high-end new energy off-road vehicle with a dead weight of 3460kg, combined with its zero hundred acceleration time of 3.9 seconds, it can be said that the energy consumption performance of the Yangwang U8 belongs to the normal level.

At the same time, the dashboard interface of the U8 is also leaked in the picture. The left side of the interface shows the car’s remaining battery capacity and tire pressure, the right side shows the energy consumption display, the bottom right corner shows the total mileage and estimated range, and the middle of the screen shows the speed display and the assisted driving interface. The UI design of the car’s dashboard interface has also been hotly debated.

The U8 new energy hard-core crossover was launched for pre-sale on April 18. The vehicle is equipped with four 220kW motors with a total peak power of 880kW and a plug-in hybrid system with a self-researched 2.0 L engine. The new car has six core technologies: easy four-way, cloud van, blade battery, super body, intelligent cockpit, and intelligent driving assistance, available in luxury and off-road player versions, with a pre-sale price of 1.098 million yuan.

According to the official statement of Yangwang Auto, the launch date of the luxury version has been finalized, and it is expected to be launched in August, and the delivery will start in September.
