BYD Auto officially announced today that the BYD Song PLUS Champion Edition will be opened for pre-sale on June 8, the slogan for “transcendent advancement, harnessing the peak”.
BYD has not yet announced the details of this model, but from the diagram, it can be seen that the Song PLUS Champion Edition will be available in hybrid (DM) and pure electric (EV) versions for consumers to choose.
As we all know, BYD currently sells the Song PLUS in the Marine network, and this variant will remain so. it is noted that the 2023 BYD Song PLUS EV model and DM-i model have already passed the declaration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the new car can be optionally marked with the word “frigate 05”.
The front and rear of the car have changed a lot, especially the front, changed the design language of the BYD Ocean Net series, the grille has become a horizontal spoke without border style. The rear is basically the same as the EV version, and the overall gives a more refined and refreshed feeling.

The new model measures 4,775 mm x 1,890 mm x 1,670 mm, an increase of 7 cm in length and a decrease of 1 cm in height compared to the current model’s 4,705 mm x 1,890 mm x 1,680 mm. The wheelbase remains the same as the current model, at 2,765 mm.
The A+ SUV is equipped with 18-, 19- and 20-inch tires and has an overall mass of 1,830 kg and a top speed of 170 km/h.
Power is consistent with the current model, the Song PLUS DM-i equipped with BYD Super Hybrid system, still using the 1.5L Snapdragon engine with a maximum power of 81 kW, as well as a maximum power of 145 kW front motor composed of DM-i hybrid system, and equipped with lithium iron phosphate blade battery.
