BYD sold 162,530 new energy vehicles in July, reaching a total of 803,900 units this year, up 292.00% year-on-year

BYD now in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange announced July production and sales snapshot.

July 2022, BYD new energy vehicle sales 162,530 units, compared to 50,492 units in the same period last year, an increase of 183.1%; overseas sales of new energy passenger cars totaled 4026 units; this year’s total reached 803,900 units up 292.00% year-on-year.

In addition, BYD’s total installed capacity of new energy vehicle power batteries and energy storage batteries in July is about 7.287GWh, and the total cumulative installed capacity in 2022 is about 41.329GWh.

From the announcement data, BYD’s production and sales of pure electric vehicles this month were 81,292 and 80,991 units respectively, up 239.18% and 241.54% year-on-year; production and sales of plug-in models were 81,750 and 81,223 units respectively, up 382.52% and 383.75% year-on-year.
