BYD Seal will start pre-sale on May 20, and some configuration information of the new car is also reported.
BYD Seal is expected to use e-platform 3.0, and will also be equipped with functions such as heat pump, DiLink4.0 (5G), Dynaudio audio, sports control, etc. It adopts the integrated design of CTB battery and body, and provides four configurations, with a maximum battery life of 700 kilometers and a 100-kilometer battery life. Acceleration is 3.8 seconds, and the four-wheel drive version also has a HUD.
Judging from the previously leaked news, the new car may be in the price range of 220,000-280,000 yuan. It is expected to start pre-sale in mid-May and is expected to be listed in July. The BYD Seal offers battery packs with two capacities of 61.44kWh and 82.56kWh, and the battery life under CLTC conditions is available in three options: 550km, 650km and 700km.
Combined with the previously announced application information, the 550km battery life version should be equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 150kW, which is the lowest model; the 650km battery life version should be equipped with front and rear dual motors, of which the front motor has a maximum power of 160kW and the rear motor is the largest. With a power of 200kW, the acceleration time to 100 kilometers is only 3.8 seconds; the 700km battery life version should also be equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 230kW.
From what is currently known, the most direct competitors of BYD Seal should include Tesla Model 3.
