According to BYD officials, the Seal 06 will be officially unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show (opening on April 25). The car has previously completed its application with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is expected to be equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM-i plug-in hybrid system.
Declaration information shows that the length, width and height of the Seal 06 are 4830/1875/1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2790mm, which is continuously close to the Qin L (4830/1900/1495mm, wheelbase 2790mm) reported earlier, indicating that there will be two models. Models may be “sister models” to each other.
From the appearance point of view, the new car continues to follow the “marine aesthetics” design language, and the lines are more soft and smooth. The front grille is shaped like a big grinning mouth, which looks very unique. In addition, the car is also equipped with petal-style wheels, and optional sunroof/panoramic sunroof/small sunroof.
In terms of power, the new car is still equipped with a 1498ml engine with a power of 74kW and a top speed of 180km/h. The pure electric cruising range is 90km, and the fuel consumption is 3.98L/100km.
