BYD Qin PLUS DM-i Executive Edition: Power specifications
The Qin PLUS DM-i Executive Edition would use the brand-new DM-i system that BYD has come up with. The car comes packed with a 1.5L high-efficiency engine and an EHS132 electric hybrid turbocharger dedicated to the Xiaoyun-plug-in hybrid. The latter is a 1.5 Ti high-efficiency engine whose thermal efficiency can reach up to 43.04%. The car has a peak power of 132kW, peak torque of 316Nm and can from zero to 100 km/hr in 7.9 seconds. The car yields a cruising range of 55km.
The company also offers a separate 120km battery life version. This one can get cracking to a 100km/hr speed in just 7.3 seconds. This version would use up fuel at the rate of 3.8L/100km without electricity. This car would offer an impressive cruising range of 1245km.
Apart from these specifics, not much is known about the configuration of the car. The new version carries a price tag of 165,800 yuan. For just an additional new wheel hub over what its predecessor offered, the price has shot up by 54,000 yuan. Yet the car is expected to perform well with its sales given the excellent sales record that BYD passenger cars have had with a year-on-year increase of 136.5%.
