BYD and Sime Darby Motors launched the Dolphin model in Malaysia. This is the second pure electric vehicle launched by BYD in Malaysia after the BYD ATTO 3 model.


The price of the BYD Dolphin standard battery life version is 99,900 ringgits and the long battery life version is priced at 124,900 ringgits. For comparison, the price of BYD Dolphin in China is 116,800-136,800 CNY.

The length, width and height of the Malaysian version of the Dolphin are 4290/1770/1570mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2700mm. It adopts through-type LED headlights and geometric taillights.
The interior of the new car is equipped with a 12.8-inch smart rotating touch screen and a six-speaker sound system. The long-endurance version adds a panoramic glass sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a 6-way electric driver’s seat, etc., and the front seats have a ventilation function.


In terms of power, the standard endurance version is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 70kW + a lithium-iron battery of 44.9 kWh, and the NEDC cruising range can reach 410 kilometers; Acceleration from zero to one hundred is only 7 seconds.
