When it comes to EV batteries, the BYD Blade are some of the most efficient and safe products. Originally, this battery pack came into existence in the year 2020 and since then, they have become a global sensation. Now, Tesla is ready to use these batteries in their production process.
As per recent reports, China’s largest EV brand will be supplying their Blade batteries to the Tesla factory in Berlin. These supplies have already begun, and production of cars using the batteries will commence immediately. The main Tesla product to use these batteries is the Model Y, other products might follow afterwards.

This is not the first time we are getting reports that BYD and Tesla will partner to bring the Blade battery to Tesla vehicles. Sometime last year we heard rumours of this partnership or battery supply as we can also call it. Ever since then no more words have been heard regarding the said arrangement until last month when a BYD official confirmed the supplies.
This supply will be in small quantity and only the Model Y will use the BYD Blade batteries. Our sources are somewhat optimistic about the growth in the supply of BYD Blade batteries to Tesla next year. But for now, there is no need to raise our hopes high. Besides, only the Tesla factory in Germany will use the Blade batteries, other Tesla factories will stick to using batteries from their current supplier.
