Another EV fire occurred in Andhra Pradesh when the battery of an electric two-wheeler exploded in a house. It resulted in killing one and wounding three others. Early Saturday in Vijayawada, the accident took place. In the early hours, while everyone was deep asleep, the battery detonated unexpectedly in his bedroom. The vehicle’s detachable battery was getting charged during this time.
The explosion ignited a small fire in the residence, completely destroying the air conditioning unit and some household items. Neighbours who observed flames rising from the house busted open the doors and rescued the terrified family. K Siva Kumar, his wife, and their two kids all suffered severe burns.
Authorities claimed that Siva Kumar died on the way to the hospital, while his wife sustained wounds and was in severe condition. Their two children, the authorities claimed, also suffered from asphyxia but were stable.
Kumar bought the electric scooter on Friday, according to reports (April 22). According to reports, the electric scooter battery in this instance came from Boom Motors’ Corbett 14. Pure EV battery blast
This is the second incidence in less than a week in the Telugu states. The incident led to the death of an 80-year-old man and injuries of two others on April 22 in Telangana’s Nizamabad district. This was because of the detonation of the battery pack of an electric two-wheeler. The charging of the battery pack in a dwelling led to the incident.

A spate of such accidents in the country has raised concerns about battery safety.
