Subscriptions for heated seats on BMW cars are now available. The company is offering its users a plan of $18 per month for heated seats. If a user doesn’t want a monthly renewal of subscriptions, then there is a yearly, three-year, or unlimited access to this feature.
The yearly subscription plan costs $180 for a year, $300 for three years, and $415 for a lifetime. One might wonder what exactly a heated seat is and why it’s even important. Heated seats are simply seats that have internal thermostats that help to regulate how hot the seats get.

This feature is ideal for regions with freezing weather, such as winter or extreme rainy seasons. Not all BMW vehicles come with heated seats, and the company’s subscription will help fix this. With this plan, even lower-end BMW cars will be able to get heated seats from the company or select dealerships.
This feature is already available in some countries in Europe, New Zealand, and South Africa. Now the company is further rolling out its heated seat subscription to the US. But how will a subscription plan help the brand’s users access this feature? Where will they get the necessary hardware? Will this also come at a cost?
Turns out that most newer BMW models come with the necessary hardware to heat the seats. But the company blocks off free access to this feature via its software. Now, the subscription that users will pay will help remove the software limitations and give the car owner access to the feature over the period their subscription lasts.
