The BMW Group recently announced its 2023 fiscal year performance report, with annual revenue of 155.498 billion euros (currently approximately 1.22 trillion RMB), a year-on-year increase of 9%, and 2022 revenue of 142.610 billion euros ( Currently about 1.12 trillion RMB).
In 2023, the BMW Group delivered a total of 2,554,183 new vehicles in the high-end market, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%, and a market share of 3.3%. Among them, 717,620 units were delivered in the fourth quarter, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%).
In 2023, the BMW Group delivered a total of 375,716 purely electric vehicles to customers (2022: 215,752 units / +74,1%), accounting for around 15% of total sales. Including PHEVs delivered, the BMW Group sold a total of 565,875 electric vehicles (2022: 433,792 units / +30.5%), for a sales share of 22%.
In 2023, the BMW Group’s profit before interest and taxes climbed to 18.482 billion euros (Note: currently about 145.453 billion RMB), and in 2022 it will be 13.999 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 32.0%. Among them, the automotive sector’s profit before interest and tax also increased significantly throughout the year, reaching 12.981 billion euros (currently approximately 102.16 billion RMB), and 10.635 billion euros in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%.
It is worth mentioning that from January to December 2023, the revenue of BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. was completely included.
In 2022, BMW will increase its stake in the joint venture from 50% to 75%. BMW Group currently owns 75% of BMW Brilliance, while Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd. holds 25%.
