Baidu Intelligent Cloud’s official microblogging release said that BMW Brilliance and Baidu recently held a strategic cooperation memorandum signing ceremony, the two sides will share advantageous resources, explore the integration of AI technology with the whole domain of automotive manufacturing scene innovation, and promote digitalization and intelligent technology cooperation.

According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will carry out in-depth cooperation around AI platforms and quantum computing technology in the future. In terms of the AI platform, BMW chose to work with Baidu to provide core technology support for BMW’s “BEACON” AI platform, especially in the areas of natural language processing and data analysis-related capabilities.
In terms of quantum computing, the two sides will work together to explore the possibilities of quantum computing applications in production and manufacturing scenarios and improve application efficiency, which may provide strong computing power for finance, insurance, exchange rate calculation and other scenarios in the future.
BMW Brilliance had also reached cooperation with Jingdong Logistics to realize “pure electric” transportation of logistics within and between vehicle manufacturing plants.
