The official images of the 2023 Bentley Flying Spur S are out. IT Home got this exciting news yesterday to reveal the first S-badged Bentley that offers the option of a plug-in hybrid.
The car made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. It will now open at Goodwood Speedway on June 23. It would be available with a 4.0-litre, 542hp twin-turbo V8 engine or a 536hp V8 plug-in hybrid system. These options are no different than the ones offered on the earlier Flying Spurs.
Flying Spur S: Exterior looks
A distinguishing feature of the Flying Spur S would be the absence of exterior chrome. It’s rather loaded with a lot of gloss black on its grille, lower front fascia, mirror caps, and window trim. The headlights and taillights do not lag behind either, by sporting darker tints, adding up to an overall malicious look to the vehicle. The trademark chrome though has not been completely given up with the Bentley badge and the lettering on the trunk lid carrying this hue.
The Flying Spur S offers the option of fitting the car with several model specific wheels. The customer can make a choice between a set of tri-spoke 21 inch wheels with gloss-black and machined surfaces or a set of 22-inch that come in gloss back or in Pale Brodgar satin. All wheel types invariably have red-painted brake calipers.
Flying Spur S: Inside look
The interiors carry an elegant two-tone color scheme employing leather and faux-suede material. The seats cab be quilted and with no additional cost, the company offers to replace the standard “S” embroidery on the headrests with Bentley’s winged logo.
The 4.0 liter V8 engine packs a maximum power of 550nm and a peak torque of 770Nm. It can race from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.0 seconds. The Flying Spur S can attain a top speed of 318 kmph. In WLTP driving conditions, the plug-in version of the car gives out an average of just 75g/km of CO2, earning the car the title of ‘the most energy-efficient Bentley’ in town.
